Jeremias Fliedl is among the leading Austrian cellists of his generation. He performs at prestigious international festivals and in Europe’s foremost concert halls, including the Salzburg Festival, Mozart Week, Ljubljana Festival, the Musikverein, the Elbphilharmonie and the Bozar.
As a soloist, he has appeared with renowned orchestras including the Orchestre National de Lyon, the Brussels Philharmonic, the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Zagreb Soloists, the Orchestra della Toscana, the Danish Chamber Orchestra and the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn. He has performed under conductors such as Stéphane Denève, Ádám Fischer, Martin Haselböck, Thomas Sanderling and Emmanuel Tjeknavorian.
An accomplished chamber musician, he regularly collaborates with internationally acclaimed artists including Julian Rachlin, Daniel Müller-Schott, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, Veronika Eberle, Karen Gomyo and Dominik Wagner.
In 2024, he released his debut album, Transformation, on Berlin Classics, recorded with the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn under the direction of Emmanuel Tjeknavorian. The recording received outstanding reviews from the international music press.
Born in Klagenfurt in 1999, Jeremias Fliedl studied first with Igor Mitrović and later with Heinrich Schiff, Clemens Hagen and Julian Steckel. He is a prizewinner of several international competitions, including the Liezen, Svirél and Antonio Janigro competitions, and was the first Austrian cellist ever to receive a prize at the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition.
Since 2022, he has performed on the "ex Gendron, Lord Speyer" cello, built by Antonio Stradivari in 1693.
This concert is presented in cooperation with the Academy of Music, University of Ljubljana.

Cellist Marc Coppey, a protégé of Yehudi Menuhin and Mstislav Rostropovich, is widely regarded as one of the leading cellists of our time. He first gained international recognition at the age of eighteen when he won the Bach Competition in Leipzig. Shortly thereafter, he performed with Yehudi Menuhin and Viktoria Postnikova. Since then, he has appeared with many of the world's foremost orchestras and conductors and has received numerous honours, including the French distinction of Officier des Arts et des Lettres.
Alongside the standard cello repertoire, Coppey is a committed advocate of contemporary music and has given numerous world premieres. He served as Artistic Director of the Zagreb Soloists and currently serves as Artistic Director of the Les Musicales de Colmar festival. He is Professor of Cello at the Paris Conservatoire and Artistic Director of the Saline Royale Academy. An exclusive recording artist for Audite Classics, his recordings have consistently received the highest critical acclaim.

British cellist Natalie Clein, described by The Times as “mesmerising” and “passionately expressive,” is one of the leading musicians of her generation. She first came to international prominence at the age of sixteen after winning both the Eurovision Competition for Young Musicians and the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition. During her studies, she was awarded the prestigious Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Scholarship at the Royal College of Music, before completing her studies with Heinrich Schiff in Vienna.
Natalie Clein is Professor of Cello at the Royal College of Music in London and at the University of Music and Theatre Rostock. She performs regularly with many of the world's leading orchestras and conductors, including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, English Chamber Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Hallé Orchestra, National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, California Symphony, London Mozart Players, BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. She has collaborated with distinguished conductors such as Sir Roger Norrington, Sir Neville Marriner, Paul Daniel, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Sir Mark Elder, Leonard Slatkin, Stéphane Denève, Heinrich Schiff, and Peter Oundjian.

Three-Day Workshop for 100 Young Cellists from Across Slovenia
The Three-Day Workshop for 100 young cellists from across Slovenia will take place as part of Cellofest Ljubljana from 16 to 18 October 2026 at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet Ljubljana (KGBL), Ižanska cesta 12, Ljubljana.
Led by Prof. Ksenija Trotovšek Brlek, together with her assistants, the workshop is intended for young cellists in Years 2–8 of Slovenian music schools. The workshop will conclude with a Sunday morning matinee concert featuring an orchestra of 100 cellos on Sunday, 18 October, at 11:00 at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet Ljubljana.
